Members of our Aboriginal Advisory Group identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander. This group provides cultural advice and guidance on all aspects of the research project.

Dr Mick Adams is a descendent of the Yadhaigana/Wuthathi people of Cape York Peninsula in Queensland (father side), the Gurindji people of Central Western Northern Territory (mother’s side). Dr Adams is recognised and credited as one of the leading Aboriginal researchers on male health. He has worked in the health sector for over 30 years, working in both government and community-controlled health service sector.

Michelle is a Palawa woman from southern Tasmania. She has been living, raising her family, and working in Noongar Country for almost thirty years. Michelle has previously worked in health education and is currently a Post Doctoral Fellow with the Aboriginal-led Looking Forward Moving Forward research team at Curtin University.
