Why was the Toolkit developed? 

The Educultural Toolkit provides a critical resource for building cultural capability to enhance cultural awareness and safety, and ultimately cultural security for Indigenous Australian peoples accessing needle and syringe programs.

What's in the Toolkit?

  • Module 1: Understanding Indigenous Australian History, Intergenerational Trauma, and Racism

  • Module 2: Building Trust, Relationships and Partnerships: Exploring the Ongoing Journey to Developing Cultural Capability

  • Module 3: Tools and Resources

 

Who is the Toolkit for?

The Toolkit is intended for NSP service providers and NSP staff who work with Indigenous Australian peoples in Boorloo (Perth Metro region). Its contents may also be applicable to, and beneficial for, services and contexts in other parts of Western Australia.
